ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist
Flagstaff Sports Institute Injury Prevention Program Trainer Brenda Charley has over 10 years of experience teaching physical education and fitness concepts to children and adolescents. She is a certified personal trainer and exercise physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine. She has experience instructing multiple Injury Prevention and Performance Enhancement programs through Flagstaff Sports Institute, improving athletes’ strength, speed, agility, and flexibility.
Brenda received her bachelor’s degree from Northern Arizona University in physical education and school health promotion and has a master's degree in kinesiology focusing on sports psychology and pediatric exercise. Additionally, Brenda is currently coordinating the Restoring Balance Physical Activity Intervention Study at Northern Arizona University aimed at promoting exercise among Native American cancer survivors.
We at Flagstaff Sports Institute are excited to have Brenda Charley instruct the Flagstaff Snow Sharks Dry-Land Training to improve the swim team’s proper neuromuscular control and functional movements through strength and flexibility training, as well as proper warm-ups.
