Flagstaff Sports Institute Injury Prevention Program Instructor and Coordinator Samantha is a certified Sportsmetrics(TM) specialist. She earned both her master’s degree in athletic training and her bachelor’s degree in fitness wellness with a biology minor from Northern Arizona University.
As a certified athletic trainer licensed to practice in Arizona, her aim is to keep athletes healthy and safe through injury prevention, education, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. In addition, athletic trainers are healthcare professionals who are also proficient in clinical evaluation and diagnosis, immediate care, treatment, reconditioning, organization and administration, and managing professional responsibility.
In addition to writing, coaching, and organizing IPPEP sessions, Samantha is also an athletic trainer for Northland Preparatory Academy and teaches a sports medicine and performance class. Outside of athletic training, she enjoys traveling, writing, and continuing to learn.
