Dr. Torey Botti is the co-founder and current President of the Flagstaff Sports Institute.
Torey is a board certified Orthopaedic Surgeon with Fellowship training in Sports Medicine. During his 10 years as an orthopaedic surgeon at Flagstaff Bone and Joint, Torey has provided care for countless youth sport injuries, many of which could have been prevented with better education and training. Awareness of the significant community gap in youth sport injury awareness and education was instrumental in Torey's decision to create the Flagstaff Sports Institute.
Torey was involved in sports from a young age, competing in swimming, soccer, football and track and field. He majored in Biology at Loyola University of Chicago, where he was also four year scholarship 400m runner for the Track and Field Team. Following college, he attended Cornell Medical College in New York City, and then completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Chicago. He then completed a one year sports medicine fellowship at the Oasis group in San Diego. During his fellowship, he served as an Assistant Team Physician for the San Diego Chargers, the Summer X-games, Point Loma University as well as multiple San Diego HIgh Schools. Currently, he serves as a Team Physician for the U.S. Snowboard Team.
In his free time, Torey enjoys exploring the world with his wife, Lauren, and their two children. He is an avid snowboarder, mountain biker, gardener, and novice beekeeper.
